February 3, 2019 - Grade 9 (AM Sunday)

Hari Om Everyone
In This week's class, we have discussed about Truth (Satyam vada), Righteousness (Dharmam chara), Non violence (Ahimsa paramo dhramaha) and Daanam (Giving or charity).
We have learnt Bhagavad Gita up to 62.
Satyam vada: We discussed about Ispeaking truth, it is so effortless and easy to live if we are truthful and on contrary if we start lying how one ends up in whirlpool of lies to cover the original lies. What happens if we start lying at things like school test scores, home work, and how one loses trust of parents and loved ones. Also we discussed about Universal truth which is Brahman.
Dharmam Chara: As students what is the dharma of kids? Learning and studying, Finish home work on time, help keep the room, school and surroundings clean, help parents in chores and volunteer work as much as possible. Also we have discussed the dharma of all elements in society and how following dharma protects the society back.
Ahimsa paramo dhramaha:  Non violence is at three levels. At mind level such as not entertaining bad and violent thoughts about any being. Because or thoughts become our actions, so stop violence thought. At Actions such as physically hurting other beings not just humans but animals and trees as well. At speech like no abusive language, no harsh talk, no calling names etc.
Daanam: Giving is the best jewel for hand (hastasya bhushanam daanam), we learnt that giving is nothing but sharing that we have extra. Also one needs to donate to people who cannot be able to repay back to us, we need to give in right time, right situation and right deserving person or organization.
Also we have discussed about the play that is coming up in March. Unfortunately we missed the kids who volunteered to prepare the skit. We will follow it up in the coming week.
