Sep 30th, 2018 - Grade : PreK/Toddler (AM Sunday)

Hari Om Parents and Children!



Below is a summary of what we did yesterday, during our Sunday morning session. 

  • We started our class with our  3 Oms and 3 Chants listed below 





           Om Sri Ganeshaya namaha, Om Sri Saraswathye namaha,  Om Sri Sat Gurubyoh namaha





  • We did the following three shlokas:- 
1)  Vakratunda Mahaakaaya   sooryakoti samaprabha nirvighnam kurume deva   sarva karyeshu sarvada
2) karãgre vasate lakshmīḥ,  karamūle sarasvatī  karamadhye tu govindaḥ,   prabhāte karadarśanam . 
3) saraswati namastubhyam varade kAmarUpiNI  vidyarambham karishyAmI siddhirbhavatume sadA

  • We did our regular  Yoga stretches and poses  after which we did our meditation game. The kids are doing great learning to  count the numbers in Sanskrit-- to ten and we will continue to build on that every week. We then sang our two bhajans.

    jaya jaya devii, jaya jaya devii, durgaa devii sharaNam
   kanaka durgaa devii sharaNam, kanaka durga devii sharaNam


  • We moved on to chanting the Bhagavad Gita : Chapter 18 41st and 42nd  Shloka from our handbook.
  • In our this week's session we  heard the story of the Crow that uses his thinking powers and solves his problem to quench his thirst and then worked hard on our  cute crows project. 
  • We wrapped up our session early and moved to the temple for  House Assembly and closing prayers.

 It is always a lot of fun interacting with all of our kids and hope all of you enjoyed our class as well.

CORD Walkathon: Register for CORD Walkathon which is on Oct 28th, Sunday 10:00 AM at Mercer County Park. East Picnic area. More details at  http://www.chinmayavrindavan.org/cord-walkathon/
$25/walker and the funds raised goes to CORD. Raffle prizes for the most number of pledges collected.   Please note that the walkathon is followed by Field Day activities.  Please make sure you register for the walkathon. And Yes - Please bring in all your friends and family members!!!  We will be there that day and we look forward to seeing all of you at the walkathon!!
