Hari Om! Parents,
Week 5 class began with Sahanaavavatu, Karagre Vasate Lakshmi, Samudra Vasane (My Prayers pg 11) and SriRama, Rama shlokas. After that we did chanting of 1-3 verses of Guru Stotram. The class is very interested in daily shlokas, so we request parents to practice with them everyday. The goal is to memorise all Daily Prayers by end of Grade 1.
We did a quick recap of the Ramayana. Then moving forward with the story in Mithila, Rama breaks the Rudra bow. The grand wedding of Rama and Sita takes place. Next they heard the story of Parashurama and the battle between Rama and Parashurama. We ended story time with defeated Parashurama leaving to the Himalayas.
Coloring Books are available at Publications in the lobby. Gita chanting continued with Swamiji and the class learnt Verse 45 and 46. Please remind your child to practice regularly. Friendly Reminder to Register for CORD Walkathon.
