Hari Om Parents,

Sorry for delay in sending out Jan 6th email.
Below is the summary  
Started the class chanting three Om's and 3 chants
      Om Sri Ganeshaya namaha, 
      Om Sri Saraswathye namaha, 
      Om Sri Sat Gurubyoh namaha
followed by 
             OM saha nāvavatu
            saha nau bhunaktu
            saha vīryam karavāvahai
            tejasvināvadhītamastu
            mā vidviṣāvahai
            OM śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ

We chanted  the following three shlokas:- 
       1) Vakratunda Mahaakaaya   
            sooryakoti samaprabha 
            nirvighnam kurume deva   
            sarva karyeshu sarvada
      2)   karãgre vasate lakshmīḥ, 
            karamūle sarasvatī 
            karamadhye tu govindaḥ,
            prabhāte karadarśanam 
     3)    brahmārpaṇaṃ brahma havir 
             brahmāgnau brahmaṇā hutam ।
             brahmaiva tena gantavyaṃ
             brahma karma samādhinā ॥
     4)    Diipa-Jyotih Para-Brahma 
            Diipa-Jyotir-Janaardanah 
            Diipo Haratu Me Paapam 
            Diipa-Jyotir-Namostute 

Meaning of Diipa Jyotih Para Brahma
    Salutations to the Light of the Lamp. 
    The Light of the Lamp represents the Supreme Brahman,
    The Light of the Lamp represents Janardhana. 
     Let the Light of the Lamp Remove My Sins;
     Salutations to the Light of the Lamp.

After some Yoga stretches, we did our meditation game and
 counted the Sanskrit numbers from  1 to 20.

We did two new bhajans:
        Acyutaḿ Keśavaḿ Rāma Nārāyaṇaḿ
       Kṛṣṇa Dāmodaraḿ Vāsudevaḿ Harim
       Śrīdharaḿ Mādhavaḿ Gopīkā-Vallabhaḿ
       Jānakī-Nāyakaḿ Rāmacandraḿ Bhaje    
  Khate Bhi Ram Kaho (action song)
       Khathe bhi ram kaho ; peethe bhi ram kaho;
       Sothe bhi Ram kaho Ram Ram Ram...
       Ram Ram Ram, Ram Ram Ram, Ram Ram Ram!
      Jumping bhi ram kaho   running bhi  ram kaho
      Skipping bhi ram kaho Ram Ram Ram...
      Ram Ram Ram, Ram Ram Ram, Ram Ram Ram!

With all our little ones request we also sang
      Great God Ganapathi, I bow to Thee,
      Elephant faced One, I bow to Thee 
      Delight of Lord Shiva, I take refuge in Thee, 
      O big bellied son of Mother Parvathi 
       Infinite Om, Oh I bow to Thee 
      You ride on your mouse and win Victory 
      Maha Ganapathe Namostuthe 
      Great God Ganapathi, I bow to Thee

We moved on to chanting the Bhagavad Gita : Chapter 18 verses   41, 42, 43, 44 and 45  from our handbook. 

Our  story for the week was The Honest Woodcutter  and the kids enjoyed doing the  Fairy craft.

We wrapped up our session with our closing prayers and moved to the temple for Aarthi.
