Dear Sunday Morning Grade 4 Parents,
We had our 13th Balavihar session on Sunday, January 6th. Our next class is on January 13th. We started our class at 9:15 with opening Prayers. We had 20 students in class today.
We did not send out a class update after our last class on December 16th (which was our 12th Balavihar Session). On that day, all the Balavihar classes got together at the temple to watch On a Quest; a movie biopic about Swami Chinmayananda's life. Watching a movie like that, sitting on the radiant heated floors of our Ashram is quite a memorable experience.
Our topics for this week:
1. Reviewed Naming ceremony of Krishna - story from Dec 16th class.
2. Started story of this sweet pastime of Krishna – Damodara-lila. Where we Found out how the unconquerable Lord was conquered by His mother, Yashoda .
4. There were questions about how butter was made using the process of churning and we discussed .
5. As home work we assigned every child to Memorize Bhagavad Gita - Chapter 18 , Verses 41-45 this week.
We kindly request your help on a couple of action items:
1. Please learn about and register for our Slokathon. You should all have a WhatsApp message from Yamuna-ji on this.
2. We asked your child to memorize 5 verses from Chapter 18 (vers. 41-46). Please help them with this.
