Jan 25, 2018 - Grade 2 ( Friday)

Hari Om everyone!
Dear Parents,
Here's a summary of our last class (1/25/2019).  After the opening prayers and the nama japam, we jumped right into working on our Hanuman ji's backbone project that we started last week.  All the kids had lot of fun with the backbone project.  They took their master piece with them home :)  This will serve as a good reminder for kids of all the great virtues Hanuman ji blesses them with on praying to him. Attached are some pictures of the class holding their work.
The project took most of our class time.  We could squeeze in few minutes to review our introduction to Hanuman Chalisa that we started prior week,  about the author Tulasidas ji and how he started off by praying to his guru before starting the Chalisa.  We also talked about how Hanumanji is an Ocean of virtues and bestower of the same. We started talking about how Hanumani was a divine messenger and how hard it is to be one. We will delve into this topic more in the next class.
We spent several minutes chanting the prayer dohas and also the first 4 Caupais of the Chalisa. Please help the kids at home memorize these as we learn in the class. The benefits of chanting Hanuman chalisa are innumerable and kids memorizing this and chanting everyday will be a wonderful thing for them.
We also learnt verses 54 and 55 of 18th chapter of Bhagavadgita from Swamiji
We ended the class with closing prayers followed by aarthi.
Regards,
Mythili and Madhuri
