- We chanted the beginning prayers followed by vedic chanting of Om Namaste astu bhagavan…
- Chanted verses 57,58 from chapter 18 of the Bhagavad Gita with Swami ji. Also revised verses 51 through 56
- Our curriculum for this week was on the topic of charity
- Discussed about how one should first try to gain as much knowledge as you can
- Work hard to accomplish much and then give all your talents, wealth and capabilities to the society
- We gave examples and discussed the lives of Karna, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet etc
- Our next topic was on Arise, Awake!
- Discussed Swami Vivekananda and the need for a guru to awake to our goal in life
- Told the story of King Janaka
- Discussed Detachment Attachment yoga from Pujya Gurudev’s teaching
- Discussed how prayer can give us joy and tranquility to the mind
We have started writing the script for the play. Our class performance is on Friday, March 8th
Last Sunday some of us met and wrote some of it
We are meeting again this Sunday at 11 AM. We would like the children to come and participate
