Hari Om! Parents,
· We started our class with our opening prayers followed by Vaidika invocations/dhyana shlokas and on Lord Shiva
· Chanted Om Namaste astubhagavan… from Sri Rudram. Taught and chanted 8 verses from Lingashtakam
· Chanted verses 41 through 48 from Chapter 18 of the Bhagavad Gita. Taught verses 49 and 50
· Taught and discussed about the Brahmacharyam ashrama as a means to gain knowledge both material and spiritual
· Discussed the Gayatri mantra and the Upanayam ceremony
· Discussed 8 disciplines a student should have for a great future
· The children will work on one of the disciplines which they lack during the week
· Discussed the 4 fold castes and how they have been categorized according to Lord Krishna
· Told the story of Satyakama and Jabala to give the example for a Guna Brahmana
· Discussed how devotion towards our duty brings in purity of our mind and inner perfection
· Please donate items towards our seva project next week
· Our class will be assembling the Thanksgiving baskets for the Home Front next Sunday
