Hari Om! Parents,
· We started our class with our opening prayers followed by Vaidika invocations/dhyana shlokas and on Lord Shiva
· Chanted Om Namaste astubhagavan… from Sri Rudram. Taught, chanted and completed all verses from Lingashtakam
· Chanted verses 41 through 48 from Chapter 18 of the Bhagavad Gita. We also chanted along with Swami ji verses 46 though 50
· Taught and discussed about the value of Satyam. Discussed how speaking the truth can make you a winner all the way.
· We gave examples and told stories about Samrat Ashoka and Mahatma Gandhi
· Discussed India’s national emblem and the words Satyameva Jayate
· This week we did an activity called “know Your Strength”
· We gave them around 10 questions with 4 options each.
· The goal was to find out if their nature is predominantly Saatvic, Rajasic or Tamasic
· It was wonderful to watch the children being so honest and wanting to make changes in their lives to become a better person
· Thanks to all the parents who contributed to our Home Front Seva Project
· With your help we could make 50 baskets for distribution to Home Front for Thanksgiving
· December 1st is our annual fundraising at Royal Albert Palace in Edison. Please plan to attend. It is going to be fun filled musical evening
· With your support we can all work towards the vision of our Pujya Gurudev
