Below is an update from the class on Sunday. 

Week 4:

Shlokas:
  1. Sahanavavattu (opening prayer)
  2. Sarvamangala Mangalay Shloka on Goddess Parvathi
Lesson:
Review of Mahabharata from grade 5
  • Sage Durvasa visits pandavas in the forest
  • Jayadratha Punished
  • Karna's kavacha and kundala given as charity to Indra.
  • Yudhishtira meets Dharma
Review is complete with above topics. Grade 6 syllabus starts below.
  • The incognito period begins
  • Pandavas enter the Matsya Kingdom
  • Death of Keechaka
Geeta Chanting:
Bhagavad Gita:
Review of verses 41 and 42.
Chanted 43 and 44 verses.
Please have kids practice the verses at home. Memorization skills at this age are very good. Every week we plan to send a video of kids recording to Gita Chanting team for the house to earn points for chanting.  If parents have the individual recording of the kids chanting please send it to Gita team directly.

Activities:
We had house inaugurals today and kids had a chance to know their teams and house captains. There were fun activities for kids based on the house they belong to.
