Week 4 was a fun- filled afternoon, especially as we were all eagerly awaiting the House inaugural, wearing our house, Krishna's Cowboys Blue color to showcase the spirit of our ideal Lord Krishna.
We started with Om chanting (3 times) and opening prayer OM Sahanavavatu.
Alphabet Safari curriculum continued with the letter C for "Cleanliness". We brainstormed the meaning, and the dos and don'ts of being clean. The children are very smart and were quick to point out that being dirty can produce germs which would make them sick.
I explained the story of the Royal horse from the text book and explained that as Royal children of the God Almighty, we are all called upon to be clean both in the body as well as in the mind.
I also showed them the experiment of dirty water versus clean water and how we must always be kind to one another, and have good , pure thoughts.
We sang 'Hey Murali Shridhara:" as a practice for the assembly, did Brain yoga several times and continued to practice Rama bhajans and Ram slokha in anticipation of our stage performance on December 9, 2018.
We started Likhitha Japa today with writing OM in our notebooks.
After Geeta Chanting, we proceeded to the main hall for the assembly, where the children enjoyed singing the bhajan and completing the bead activity to earn points.
