Hari om everyone,
Our children are doing gItaa chanting in class very well. Some of them have been diligent in practising at home too. We can see that in the attached recording as well! (We have a couple mispronunciations and have worked on it :). We have learnt two more verses after the recording.
We have discussed at length the 4 ashrama-s of our dharma. It is the way the four stages of life are divided and assigned particular responsibilities. We elaborated on their dharma now as students, the dharma the parents are taking care of (how they uphold all the other 3 ashrama-s), how to prepare for the next two stages, etc.
We discussed how this system is not prevalent only in our culture, but in any society only in different ways and forms!
We had to leave a little early to the auditorium for a CORD presentation. The High Schoolers shared their inspiring experiences from their trip for CORD seva. Your children are eligible for such life-changing adventures, now that they are Highschoolers too! Please watch out for information regarding CORD Seva project trips. The children truly come back as changed individuals!
It is navaraatrI week. So there will be no balavihar this weekend. See you all the following Sunday.
๐๐Wishing all our bala vihar families, a very happy navaraatrI festival! ๐๐
Hope the season of celebration reminds us to allow -
*durgaa to quell the mahiSha (tamas) in us,
*lakshmI to propel us (rajas) towards prosperity and
*saraswatI to drench us with knowledge (sattva)!
That would be the true 'vijaya' victory achieved on the 10th day...
May we all be blessed to be victorious!
๐๐๐
Regards,
Rashmi and Sitaram
