Hari Om Parents!
Regards,
Here's a quick update for you on what was covered in the Oct 19th class. Since we had the Saraswathi puja, we only conducted a short 45 minute class last Friday where we covered 'Arogatha', the 6th virtue described in the Hanuman Dhyana Shloka
- We started the class with opening prayers, Rama nama japa, the Dhyana shloka and the Hanuman Bhajan ( Veera Hanumana)
- We briefly talked about Dussera, Saraswathi puja and why we perform the Saraswathi puja.
- We then reviewed all the virtues discussed in the previous sessions and started talking about Arogatha ( Good Health)
- Good physical health results in a body that is free of all diseases and one should be in good physical health to enjoy life. Health is wealth
- Good mental health is also required for us to have a peaceful and happy life. Some of the diseases of mind are Pride, arrogance, Desire to steal, rudeness etc.
- We brainstormed hoe we can physically remain healthy
- Eat Nourishing food and Exercise regularly
- Keep oneself clean and live in a clean environment
- To remain mentally healthy and avoid germs of laziness, greed and anger we should:
- avoid harmful television shows
- avoid company of friends who spread negativity
- read appropriate books and PRAY TO GOD DAILY
- Kids were all given two puzzle sheets to take home where they can find the words : 'Things that make me week' and 'Things that make me strong'.
- This sheet when worked by kids will help bring back all the things that were taught in the session on this topic.
- We wrapped up the class with closing prayers.
