Hari Om Parents,
Welcome to 2nd session of our 2018-2019 Balavihar. A warm welcome to all our lovely kids who came on Friday evening Balavihar class.
Below is a summary of what all we covered for our Friday Sept 14th 7.00 PM Session-
- We began with our 3 Oms and 3 Chants listed below
Om Sri Ganeshaya namaha,
Om Sri Saraswathye namaha,
Om Sri Sat Gurubyoh namaha
- We then talked about Ganesha Chaturthi, why it is celebrated and how it is celebrated.
- We then did a shloka on Lord Ganesh.
- Shloka - Vakratunda MahakayaVakratunda Mahaakaaya

- On to some Yoga stretches and poses --- had to get those energy flowing! Parents you can always do these poses with them at home as well, make sure you use a mat to sit/stand if possible.
- We played HariOm game in which if Teacher says HariOm quietly, Kids chant it loudly and vice-versa.
- We had to channel all that energy into singing our Bhajan!! We learnt the bhajan Ganesha Saranam. I have provided the lyrics here.

- After Bhajan, we did meditation game and kids enjoyed counting the numbers in Sanskrit.
- Next was our most favorite activity which was the story time. We heard the story of a beautiful Bull "Mr. Delightful" who loves his master and how he helps him when his master is nice and polite to him. We learnt an important lesson that politeness is always important in life and we should be always polite, nice and thankful to everyone.
- After story time we covered our craft activity -- Beautiful Bull "Mr. Delightful" . We hope the kids enjoyed making the craft.
