Hari Om Swamiji and Parents,
We are almost to the end of our Bal Vihar classes.
We had a very enjoyable class this week. First and foremost a Very Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful, amazing mothers.
We chanted Slokhas to get ready for the Vrindavan Mela on June 8. Please have the children practice the following 4 slokhas:
- Karaagre Vasathe Lakshmi
- Ekadantham Mahakaayam
- Saraswathi Namasthubhyam
- Om Sahanavavatu
They must become proficient as we will not be able to assist them on stage. The children who chant loudly will be placed in the first row. All the children must dress up as Radha and Krishna.
We are very grateful to the parents for their support and help in making this program a success!
We sang the alphabet song and then we chanted the Chinmaya Mission Pledge and went over the meaning of the first half. We will continue and complete this in the next 2 classes.
Please try to practice the Pledge with the children so that by next year they are able to recite on their own.
As a continuation of learning sadhana, we made Japa Malas in class with 108 beads. The children had an enjoyable time. Please see attached phots taken in class.
Please make sure the children bring the mala to class as we will practice japa during the meditation session in the next class. Most of the class was taken up with this activity.
May 19, and June 2, 2019 are the two classes remaining.
We will be having a party on June 2, 2019 and we would be pleased to have all the parents come and spend time with us so that the children can showcase what they have learnt. Please be in the class by 1.30 pm.
On May 19, 2019 also we are happy to have parents visit the class. The children would be happy to see you and will feel proud to explain what they have learnt in class, so we encourage you all to come and participate.
We are very grateful to spend time with your sweet children and thank you again for sending them to class every week. We look forward to seeing parents in class the following 2 classes.
