Hariom Parents,
Wish you all a very happy new year and hope you had a wonderful holiday break with family and friends.
We started the new year session with the happy new year wishes to everyone followed by our regular starting prayers.
After a brief initial review of the Mahabharata that we covered in earlier classes, we talked about the first 10 days of the Kurkshetra war. This was the period when Bhisma Pitamah led the kaurva army and largely part of the Bhisma Parva. We discussed about the rules of engagement of the war and the how the two armies would strategize and position their army with specific plan in mind…basically the various war formations. We covered the key incidents during these 10 days of the war.
As always, we concluded the day with Geeta chanting with Swamiji leading us on video. For those interested in practicing on their own time here is the link to the recording.
The plan in the next session to cover the Drona Parva….the day 10 – 15 of the War and to talk about Makara Sankrati festival as well.
There is an event planned for Makara Sankranti / Pongal (on Jan 19th) and any sixth grade youths that are willing to help (volunteering) please reach out to us as soon as possible. Also if you want to participate in the event please register at this link.
Happy Sankranthi / Pongal to all.
