It is always so good to see the full class and cheerful kids with full excitement to attend Bala Vihar session 😊. We started our class with 3 ॐ followed by .

We did stretches, yoga and kids enjoyed Tree pose and Lion pose
This week we are celebrating many festivals including Pongal, MakarSankranti and Lohri and we talked about it. We also talked about Goddess Sarswati and also about her Veena.
We then put our palms together and repeated the below slokas
करमूले तु गोविन्दः प्रभाते करदर्शनम् ॥
Karaagre Vasate Lakssmih Karamadhye Sarasvati |
Karamuule Tu Govindah Prabhaate Karadarshanam ||
विद्यारम्भं करिष्यामि सिद्धिर्भवतु मे सदा ॥

We did following two Bhajans
Sitting Bhajan
अच्युतम केशवं कृष्ण दामोदरं
रामा नारायणं जानकी वल्लभं
Achyutam keshavam krishna damodaram
Raama narayanam jaanaki vallabham.
Standing Bhajan
Khathe bhi Ram bolo; peethe bhi ram bolo;
Sothe bhi Ram bolo Ram Ram Ram...bolo Ram Ram Ram, Ram Ram Ram, Ram Ram Ram!
We played meditation game and counted pebbles in English and Sanskrit up to 15.
We all enjoyed the story "Eat a Mango where no one can see you" and learned that God is everywhere ...curious kids asked us if Rama and Krishna is watching us 😊
We did the craft making greeting card with Ganesha's picture on it and kids wrote lovely message to their love ones wishing Happy Pongal.
We chanted Bhagwat Geeta Chapter 18th verse 41, 42, 43, and 44. We also chanted Geeta Ch18-v57 and 58 along with Swamijee's video-cast and we request parents to practice kids at home whenever possible.
Towards the end, we played identifying numbers in Sanskrit followed by closing prayer.

There is no Bala Vihar session next week, so our next class will be on 01/25/2019 and we are looking forward to another fun filled session!
