Hari Om Parents,

Hope you all had great Diwali. 

Our class started with chanting Om three times, followed by opening prayer:

OM saha nāvavatu

saha nau bhunaktu
saha vīryam karavāvahai
tejasvināvadhītamastu
mā vidviṣāvahai
OM śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ 
    
. Chanted 
  •  Om Sri Ganeshaya namaha,  
  •  Om Sri Saraswathye namaha,  
  • Om Sri Sat Gurubyoh namaha 
  After Chanting, we did Yoga poses
  • Warm up poses
  • Tree
  • Cobra
  • Butterfly
and Meditation game which we counted numbers in English and Sanskrit.

· Reinforced – Deepa Jyothi and Saraswathi Namastubhyam

vidyārambham kariṣyāmi
siddhir bhavatu me sadā

. We discussed about Diwali its significance and how people celebrate in different parts of India.

. We chanted bhajans: 
 

Great God Hanumanji, I bow to Thee,
Monkey faced One, I bow to Thee
Delight of Lord Rama, I bow to thee
Brave and strong son of Anjani
Infinite Om, Oh I bow to Thee
You fight all evil and win Victory

. Children enjoyed the story of Shri Krishna lifting Govardhan hilll.

. Followed by the craft of peacock feather.

. We chanted verses 41,42 and 43 from chapter 18 of Gita, followed by tracing of Om and sanskrit letters.

. Classes ended with closing prayers.

We are looking for another fun filled class on next Friday 11/17/18.
