Hari Om Parents!
Here is the summary of what we covered on the last Sunday class (30th Sep):
1) Started the class chanting three Om and followed by Sahana vavatu.
2) started to recap last week discussion Vedantic alphabet and Letter A for Aspiration. Some kids were able to remember what it stands for. They had little hard time pronouncing it. But I was happy to hear them remember and say.
3) started the Alphabet safari folder. had them stick the front cover and add the letter A coloring sheet.
4) continued with 2nd alphabet B for Brotherhood. When asked for what it stands whole lot of words starting with B were said by kids. Of course word "brother" was said, then extended the conversation to brotherhood.
5) talked about what is brotherhood starting from own family, extended family, neighbour, country, continent and world with activity pictures to show how we all belong together even if all are different.
6) took them to a short story of crayons. While narrating the story, involved the kids as if they are part of story and used crayon box to explain it.
7) had them color beach picture to show how different colors made it look beautiful the picture.
8) hand over letter B coloring page for take homework.
Parents --Please check their balavihar bag and have them color and arrange it in the folder. Some of the kids do not have the folder yet. Please send the folder.
Before going to Arati, we picked two kids who behaved really well in the class and have one of them lead the line front and other in back. Reiterated to the kids as how we should go to the prayer hall and behave while going as well being there..
Pranam,
Selvi and Rupali
