Dear Parents,
Hope you all had blessed Navaratri celebrations.
This week, because of Saraswati Pooja, the class was in session for approximately 45 minutes. We had our opening prayers and we practiced slokas 1 thru 4 of Guru Stotram and then learned the 5th sloka.
चिन्मयं व्यापि यत्सर्वं त्रैलोक्यं सचराचरम् ।
तत्पदं दर्शितं येन तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः ॥ ५॥
cinmayaṃ vyāpi yatsarvaṃ trailokyaṃ sacarācaram ।
tatpadaṃ darśitaṃ yena tasmai śrīgurave namaḥ ॥ 5॥

Homework: A crossword puzzle sheet was handed out to your child. Please have the puzzle solved and return it in the next class.
Saraswati Pooja: The kids were taken to the temple around 1:30 PM and seated along with higher grade kids. It was a delight to watch all the kids perform Saraswati Pooja under the guidance of the temple priest. Please find attached photos of the kids doing the pooja. Upon returning to the class the kids were treated with cupcakes, courtesy of Vasavi aunty, for a promise kept in acknowledging good behavior from the kids.

Next Class (11/04/2018):
Next balavihar class is on 11/04/2018. However, as noted above, CORD Walkathon is next week and attendance will be taken just before the beginning of the walkathon. Do not skip CORD Walkathon/ Field Day as you will miss out on a lot of fun activities and a chance to win several prizes.
