This week we had our high school youths come over and conduct the balavihar session. It reminds me of the teacher's day that we use to have back home in India. Great opportunity for our high school youths to have a teaching experience.
We started the session as always with starting prayers and attendance. We reviewed the Mahabharata story we have covered this far briefly ( as we were meeting after 2 weeks).
The High school youth class leads - Namitha and Sriman joined us @ 7:30 pm. They continued the review session and covered the first day of the Mahabharata war. They also did a short jeopardy session on Mahabharata which the children enjoyed and actively participated. We were happy to see the enthusiasm and they were able to answer all of the questions that came up. Impressive work by the children.
Attached are some pictures from the session conducted by our high school youths. I felt the children enjoyed the energy of the high school youths conducting the session.
