Hari Om Swamiji, Coordinators and Parents,
We had a busy class today as this was our final practice for the monthly program on December 9, 2018. The children worked very hard and we had a fruitful afternoon. They are singing all the Ram Bhajans very well.
We started the class with Om chanting, three times, followed by the Shanthi mantra, Om Sahanavavtu. We introduced a new prayer today called "Karagre Vasate", which is also referred to as the morning prayer.
Parents, please see attached Word Document of some of the prayers we say in class. Please have them repeat it at home. Thank you.
We continued to practise for the program. Several children were absent, however, we have finalised all the roles, and the expectation is that all the children will be able to come on December 9, 2018.
The details of the practise and finalised places are as follows:
Row 1 will be Vir, Dev, Saanvi, Prateek, Monisha, Tanvi
Row 2 will be Nethra, Vaishnavi, Lasya, Pujitha, Kavya and Navya
Row 3 will be Arjun, Keshav, Ishaan, Tanay, Atharv,Jayatra and Vasishta.
Vir and Dev are Rama and Lakshmana, Saanvi, Monisha and Tanvi are the 3 Queens of King Dasharatha, and Prateek is King Dasharatha.
Nethra and Vaishnavi are Sita, Lasya is Sage Viswamitra, Pujitha, Kavya and Navya are the three Sants or saints.
All the boys in the 3rd row will be dressed as Hanuman.
All Parents please note that we will have practice on December 2 and again on December 8, prior to the show on December 9, 2018.
I will send the video of the practice on the Whatsapp group so that ll the kids can practice.
We had Bhagwad Geeta chanting, after which we spoke briefly about "ishta devatha' and had a discussion about our ishtha devatas and how we can meditate on out ishta devatha.
After that we went to the main hall for arthi and pledge.
My sincere gratitude to Priya, Bhargavi and Vinithra for helping out in class today.
Thank you, and Hari OM,
