Nov 4, 2018 - Grade 9 (AM Sunday)

Hari om everyone,

We are already 2 months into the new academic year and our discussions are getting intense and deeper!  

We have been talking about the texts of authority that defines who we are.  We have been learning about the shRuti, smRuti, puraaNa and itihaas grantha-s.  We have learnt why they are categorised that way and how they are our guiding lights in any era, generation or time!  

We spoke about having 'value for our values' and only then shall all the learning make a difference.  We spoke about the unification of all knowledge and how sage Veda Vyaasa consolidated all the veda-s.  We then cut on a small tangent about unification of India, post independence.  We learnt how Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel, the very first 'Iron Man' (not their animated one :), unified the 560+ princely states under one flag.  The question they raised was - what was the need?  We simply found out we would have needed to go through TSA checking just to come to bala vihar, as we would all be coming from different townships :))

We have learnt BG verses 18.41-50.  Below is a recording in clusters of 5 verses each.  The children are doing amazingly well in class!  Please encourage them to practice regularly.  Each recording is literally just over a minute.  This is time well spent and they will surely see the benefit for a long time to come.
