Hari Om! Parents,
· We started our class with our opening prayers followed by Vaidika invocations/dhyana shlokas and on Lord Shiva
· Chanted Om Namaste astubhagavan… from Sri Rudram. Taught and chanted 6 verses from Lingashtakam
· Chanted verses 41 through 46 from Chapter 18 of the Bhagavad Gita. Taught verses 47 & 48
· Discussed 8 inner qualities, such as kindness, charity etc. as part of our samskaras. We did short stories to reinforce each value
· Gave the children the Samskritam word for each value
· Taught that we cannot compromise any value because of our desires
· Started discussion on Brahmacharya ashrama. We will continue next week
· Children have been asked to think and analyze one value which they want to improve on, and implement in their daily lives
· Our class will be doing the Thanksgiving project for the Home front. Please donate items for the basket. Please look for class WA messages and emails regarding the same
· Our next BV session is on Nov 9th
