Class 4 - 9/28/18 - 23 kids present. Summary Update
Following the opening prayers, Kids were taught the 'Neelambuja shyaamala komalaangam' Shloka to go with the Ramayana curriculum.
Gurudev's Quote for the day, written on the board was
"Temper takes you to trouble! Pride keeps you there!"
We practiced the mangala Arthi song as it was the 7th grade's turn to do Arthi.
Ramayana story until the episode of Viswamithra requesting Rama to come and save the Yagna was covered. Connecting to the quote, Viswamithra's stories emphasizing on the downsides of his temper and pride were also told and briefly discussed . We did not have much time for discussion with each student as it was a short class.
But continued with Swamiji's Geetha chanting and at 8:15, we had the House spirit program . The kids got to play a game wherein they had to make bracelets with the alphabet beads. The beads in the bracelet should read the given names of Gods and spiritual texts - Rama, Shiva, Mahabharata etc... our team 'Bhajrangi Bolts' enjoyed ( though a bit noisy because of the excitement 😜) doing it was one of the toppers and did a pretty good job.
Regular arthi was skipped and only pledge was done due to paucity of time .
To the parents:
Please encourage the kids to read Ramayana story at home. The book has the Viswamitra story too.
